Bennington is Class B state champion

Fremont will take on Gretna on Friday in a best-of-three series to determine the Class A state champion

Fremont defeats Gretna 8-0 in game one of their best-of-three state championship final.

Gretna wins Game #2 7-4, then Fremont wins the decisive game #3 9-3 to win their first Legion state title in 73 years.

Fremont advances to the Mid-South Regional along with the host-team Hastings.

When new regional hosts were selected for this two-year cycle, both Hastings and Sioux Falls were given host slots. Because they were in the same region, it meant moving some states around to accommodate the new host sites.
