Class C-2

TOP BRACKET

No. 16 Lutheran High Northeast (6- 3) at No. 1 Battle Creek (9-0). A rematch from Week 9, where BC walked away a 35-0 winner. Battle Creek has also beaten top ten teams Oakland-Craig and Hartington CC, along with qualifier Stanton. Average margin of victory: 30 points.

No. 9 Malcolm (8-1) at No. 8 Archbishop Bergan (7-2). Bergan's losses are to No. 2 Aquinas, in Week 9, and top ten Oakland-Craig, the latter on Opening Night. Malcolm fell to qualifier Fillmore Central, with its only win over a team with a winning record coming against 7-2 qualifier Southern.

No. 12 Gibbon (8-1) at No. 5 Aquinas (8-1). Gibbon has won six in a row since a loss to what proved to be a 3-6 Cambridge team, sweeping its district slate. Aquinas shut out Bergan, 28-0, on the final night of the regular season and also has wins over qualifiers Hartington CC and Lutheran High, with the loss coming to C-1 No. 4 Columbus Scotus.

No. 13 Southern (7-2) at No. 4 Hastings St. Cecilia (8-1). St. Cecilia's only loss is to unbeaten Sutton, 30-23 in Week 8, and it beat qualifiers Fillmore and Southern Valley by a combined 90-7. Southern came up big in the final week of the season, downing Palmyra 16-6 to clinch its playoff berth.

BOTTOM BRACKET

No. 14 Stanton (7-2) at No. 3 Freeman (8-1). Stanton back in the playoffs for the first time since 2011 and has won seven of eight. Freeman has beaten qualifiers Fillmore and Southern, with its loss coming to Bergan.

No. 11 Hartington Cedar Catholic (7-2) at No. 6 Sutton (9-0). Not sure which is harder to stomach, Cedar as an 11-seed or Sutton at No. 6. Cedar has lost to unbeaten Battle Creek and one-loss Aquinas, the latter by one point in overtime, while Sutton has mostly cruised, the one-TD win over St. Cecila its only close call.

No. 10 Fillmore Central (7-2) at No. 7 Oakland-Craig (8-1). Fillmore came up big in the win over Malcolm, its two losses to qualifiers Freeman and St. Cecilia. Oakland-Craig opened with the win over Bergan and later beat qualifier Stanton, the loss coming to unbeaten Battle Creek.

No. 15 Southern Valley (6-3) at No. 2 North Platte St. Pat's (9-0). In the regular season St. Pat's claimed a 36-0 road win against Southern Valley, which won its way into the tournament by beating 2013 state champ Doniphan-Trumbull on the last night of the regular season.
