Below is taken from the football manual.

“The 16 First Round winning teams will then be re-seeded 1 through 16 on a statewide bracket using the regular season point system and point system tie breaker.
(1 vs 16, 9 vs 8, 5 vs 12, 13 vs 4, 3 vs 14, 11 vs 6, 7 vs 10, 15 vs 2).

Does anyone have any insight as to whether the power points from opening round game wins would count when they reseed, or is it strictly off of regular season power points? The statement above says regular season system. I would assume the opening round games (round of 32) count, but it doesn’t specifically say yes or no

I believe points are recalculated after the first round for re-seeding

Points will be recalculated after the first round. This could let some teams jump quite a few spots. It doesn't work great with a 3 division point system. After the first round, teams with 9 games should be in a 4 division tier like 11-man.

What team in D1 is most surprising this year, most thought Tri County, Burwell and Cross County would be near top of class, which team other than them is capable of making a run????

Easy answer, Dundy County Stratton, these guys while not surprising to those of us around the southwest will make a deep playoff run guaranteed.

Arcadia-Loup City is the most dangerous 5-3 team around. Two of their best players were injured for those two early season losses, which were against good teams by a combined six points. Then they played Burwell basically even despite Jadyn Scott being very limited in his first game back from a broken arm.

any other teams that have had a surprisingly good year and could make a run?? Seems like it could be anyone’s to win and running the ball important as weather worsens!
