Columbus ended up winning the A-3 district 7-4 to advance to state for the first time since 1953.

That Columbus story is pretty cool, I'm not sure what the odds were of them winning that District but they weren't good. Central City/Fullerton/Centura qualifies for the first time being a fairly new program. Beatrice for only the 4th time in program history, only one win in 2011.
