8 Districts instead of 10. Six of the districts have 7 teams, 2 of districts have 6 teams (this could change. This cycle there are 54 teams).
All district champs automatically qualify along with the next eight highest rated teams. Some districts may only qualify the champion, some may qualify three. All based on ratings for qualification.
FIRST ROUND:
District champion host wildcard. Highest-rated champion vs lowest-rated wildcard. No "east/west" split.
SECOND ROUND (QUARTER FINALS):
Re-seeding by updated rankings. Top four host bottom four. (Yes a team may have to travel again).
SEMIFINALS:
Neutral sites. Possibly UNK, Hastings, Wayne St, Doane or other nice field.
Re-seeding again by new updated rankings. #1 vs #4 and #2 vs #3.
FINALS:
Finally the two best teams will face each other, even if they are from the same district. No one will complain because the teams in the championship deserve to be.
