    District final traveling protocol

    Host school gets a small portion of the gate, and all of the concessions. Officials are paid by the schools but that cost is deducted from the gate. Any workers that host school are paid by the host school.

    More than likely it was ordered back in October or November. HSF must have been hoping that there wouldn’t be a name change.

    Humphrey St. Francis still uses Humphrey according to the NSAA website. Cedar Catholic, Scotus, Aquinas, GACC, and St. Mary's do not use their town name.

    I think all of the rural Omaha Archdiocese schools outside of Norfolk Catholic have dropped the town names in the last two years or so.

    You’re probably right, but I’m going to guess that most of their money is donated by locals.

    I’m not sure the amount of money the Archdiocese even contributes to schools. In my opinion it’s a sad deal that the Archdiocese is forcing HSF to change their school name and mascot.

    Seems like the majority of public school consolidations are accepted better than this one is being accepted. Catholic education must be better in one town than it is in the other town.

    I understand that they won’t exist anymore, but the new school will have to have an enrollment number when school starts up next fall. I believe in the past the NSAA has combined the enrollments of schools that are merging. In essence this is what is happening. LHF and HSF are consolidating.

    Will the NSAA combine the enrollments of HSF and LHF and will that number knock them out of D2? If not then I’d guess the new school would just take HSF’s spot in that district.
