Depends on the situation, but if we're talking about concussions then at minimum a suspension and removal from the team. Liability for these situations is huge as the consequences are so severe. Sprained ankle? May not be as big of a deal but 2nd hit syndrome and brain damage is an incredible risk with a kid who is concussed. Can you prove that coach knew? Were they willfully ignorant? What did athlete say to coach or was a screen performed? Lot of questions to ask in the vague situation you're describing. Every coach is told, when in doubt sit them out. The W/L isn't worth the brain health of your athlete.
 
Are you saying that this coach allowed an injured player to participate, or are you saying that this coach simply did not tell anyone that the player was injured?

How can a kids parents not know their own child is injured? I would think a kids parents would be able to look at their kid and know they are injured?
