By 11:00 p.m. on Friday, the Class A coaches must submit to the NSAA a ranking of all 24 playoff eligible schools -- not including their own teams. Selected sportswriters from around the state will also send in their rankings of all 24 teams.

At 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, the seeding committee will meet. Members of the committee are the following Athletic Directors:

- Jason Ryan, Papillion-LaVista
- JJ Toczek, Lincoln Southeast
- Jordan Cudney, North Platte
- Dan Schinzel, Omaha Creighton Prep
- Ben Ries, Norfolk

Among other factors, they are to consider NSAA point standings, coaches and media rankings, common opponents, head-to-head results and replacement-game results to seed the playoffs. The top eight seeds will receive a bye, while the rest will open the playoffs on Oct. 23 with seeds 9 through 16 getting first round home games.
