With Norfolk Catholic's win over Wayne tonight Jeff Bellar has become Nebraska's all-time winningest high school football coach with 344 career victories.

He passes Omaha Creighton Prep coach Tom Jaworski who compiled 343 wins in his stellar career.

Bellar, in his 36th year, has a career-record of 344-64 (.843) with eight state championships and five runner-up finishes. He spent his first three years at Beaver Valley, and then 32 years at Norfolk Catholic, with a one-year stint at Norfolk High School (1995).

What's more impressive, 344 wins or only 64 losses? 64 losses in 36 years is amazing.

Norfolk Catholic has developed many great players over the years that have played at the next level, including two with the Huskers right now. Who else besides below has played at D1 level?

Kevin Raemekers
Bill Laflauer
Dusty Kaiser
David Engelhaupt
Conner Ketter

class act straight up. no ego, just coaches and does his job. congrats and a well deserving feat to say the least.

Had the privilege of playing for Coach. Great coach and terrific role model for all of the guys who are lucky enough to play for him. It was an honor to see my son play against his team this season at Memorial Field in Norfolk. Nebraska High School Football has been made better with Coach Bellar on the sidelines for the past 36 years.
