Less than three months to opening day and I am pounding away, trying to get the Huskerland preview magazine done. Most of the preview stories are completed, now my attention is on our Top 225. Who should be listed among the top 30 seniors in your team's class?

Colton Feist from Yutan is a really, really good player. Plays tackle, but could play fullback. Really good feet.

Trevor Havlovic from East Butler is a beast. Great offensively, but even better at linebacker. Will set school record for tackles in a career this year.

Dalton Bohac from East Butler is undersized, but very athletic dual-threat quarterback.

Dylan Egr from Wahoo will be one of the top backs in C-1 this season. Also threat to score in the return game.

Evan Welsh from Bishop Neumann is big, strong and extremely agile. Will play guard or tackle this season. Dominant defensive tackle who is constantly in the backfield

Some 8 man players I'm looking forward to seeing again, in no particular order:

    Riggin Anderson - Sandhills/Thedford

    Daniel Libolt - CWCE

    Carter Croxen - CWCE

    Quentin Moles - Bloomfield

    Matt Hoffman - Plainview

    Reese McFarland - Bloomfield

    Alex Horky - Twin Loup

And not a senior but another great player in 11 man:

    Rex Becker - Hartington CC

Will start working on the D-2 Top 225 seniors and underclassmen later this week. Stopped at Twin Loup and they look ready to go but the single game everybody's looking forward to is BDS at Sacred Heart on the first Friday afternoon in October. Perfect setting at Jug Brown Field, perfect pairing of teams, and the game will get played like a state final.
