Every thing I have looked at doesn't even have Triston Farley in the list on Six man he is out of Wilcox- Hildreth he has had nine touchdowns in two games why isn't he even listed. please help last game he had 372 all purpose yards with six touchdowns and I don't even know the number of tackles for loss. He plays both sides of the field. If you are managing this site please help So my son Can play at the next level

Thanks MSG Farley, James L. Ret

This site rarely helps out with getting recruited to the next level. Send film to coaches, but they need to be playing quality opponents. Who did you guys play in that game??

same as above NCAA rules???? Walthill was the team it was a meat grinder nobody was backing down and no one was backing off. It was the best team I believe we have seen in two years under six man football

Master SGT - from another retired military guy (30 year Navy) what I did was sign my son up on NCSA - this is a recruiting site - there are different levels and you can pay to get more - but even if you don't there are things that it can do for you. My son has received inquiries from 7 different schools - mostly NAIA - he's a junior this year. The site allows them to put a high light video from hudl that they (NCSA) can verify and coaches look at it. Letters or emails from 7 schools including invites to prospect games (game day at the school this fall) has been the result of this for my son.

First and foremost Thanks for your service to this country. my grand father was in the navy in WWII. Thanks for the info.

MSG Farley, I can assure you that your son has been catching the eye of many people, not just the six man teams. I would think that your coach would be more than willing to send whatever your son needs to any college he is interested in.
Also, I think that the football field your son gets to play on is one of the best I've seen. It's got to be one of the best grass fields around.
Good Luck to you and your son, and THANKS for your service to our country!!!!!!

MSG Farley, I would also like to thank you for your service to your country. My son and I went through this last year and will provide you the steps we took:
1) Set down with your coach and have him assess your son's talents and abilities to see what level he can legitimately expect to play at. Ask him to be brutally honest. If he is a NAIA or Division III talent it won't do a lot of good to send tape to Division I colleges.
2) Does he want to stay closer to home. What we did is drew a circle with a 300 mile radius around our home town and used that to narrow down colleges.
3) Does he just want to play football at the next level or is he looking to get a specific education? I'm not trying to be mean here, but if he is looking for a specific major you can narrow down the schools a lot (like say engineering).
4) There are recruiting services you can send tape to which are in contact with colleges. We did this but we made the mistake of using a firm on the east coast. My son got a lot of attention, but it was not local. So if you go that route see where they are headquartered.
5) Hudl is not against the rules. Make highlight videos to put on it. Most high schools use hudl to exchange game film.

You haven't mentioned anything about his size or speed. You have to understand that the 6-man game really doesn't transfer well to 11-man, even at the lowest divisions. Not saying it can't happen though. I scout for a Northern FCS school. Send me some video and I'll check it out. b_dogz@yahoo.com
