We shortened the season by a week forcing teams into more games per week or lost opportunities to compete (especially when weather got involved)...
We sent teams driving all over the state for hundreds of miles of extra travel....
We created a system that many fans struggled to understand....
And what did we get?

On the girls' side we got the six teams who would have been the number-one seeds in the old six-district format (Sidney, Elkhorn, Platteview, Seward, and York ;-)) one team that would have gotten a wildcard in the old system (Elkhorn South), and replaced the other (Waverly) with Beatrice (a couple spots below). In fact, if you suppose Beatrice could have upset Seward in the old district set-up, we would have done all that running around and changing for the exact same field we would have had any way.

Very impressive that Sidney would have been the top seed in multiple districts. Maybe this is why it got changed;)
