Maybe old news, but read in the newspaper over the weekend that next year Lyons-Decatur Northeast and Bancroft-Rosalie will begin a football co-op. They will be known as the BRLD Wolverines, colors will be blue, black and gold, and will be a C2 school that plays 11-man football, a level neither school has played at in quite some time.

It appears the schools will be co-oping in all sports.

I'm assuming they will play home games in Lyons then. I do believe I remember seeing something about this from another poster but did not know what their plans were as far as 8 or 11. Welcome to the meat grinder known as C-2 in Northeast Nebraska. Seems they will probably end up in the district to the far northeast and either push Oakland-Craig south or Stanton west.

Lyons was 11 man still in 2007, may have been their last year.

I think this will be a great co-op for both schools. But their schedule will be brutal. Probably in a district similar to C2-4 but switch with Stanton.
