Will Ops Cancel fall Sports and if they do, what kinda chain reaction will it cause, will other schools cancelling or mass athletes moving to other districts

Last night I felt like they would, this morning I feel like they will not.

If they do, be prepared for kids to transfer. A lot of kids. It’ll be interesting to see where kids go. As many have stated, the Millard schools, Elkhorn’s, Gretna and Bennington are damn near full. Do kids go to Papio schools? Bellevue’s? Ralston? Fort Calhoun? DC West?

The NSAA has been pretty clear in saying if kids transfer they will sit out for 90 days. If fall sports are cancelled at OPS I don't see what kids gain by transferring if they don't get immediate eligibility. It would be different if they were cancelling Winter or Spring, because the kids would be eligible by then.

Agreed. I posted that after the NSAA stated the 90 day rule would still be in effect.

I think Tom Lee tipped OPS's hand yesterday. They are going to start school before starting sports (assuming school open goes ok) and probably be ready to play football by week 3-4 of the season. Interesting that he tried to lump more schools from this NSAA district into the equation like there are districts other than OPS considering this. I'd be surprised if Sarpy schools, like Bellevue and Papio, haven't at least considered the possibility with their numbers right now.
