Wow C-1 is a free for all. Looks like Wahoo is all that is standing in the way of private school dominance...

It's not anything new. I mean, C1 is a competitive class in the sense that there are always great teams at the top. But at the same time, it's basically the same 6-8 teams every year at the top of those rankings, with a random sprinkled in there once in a while.

Last 10 C1 Championships. They include at least 1 of the current composite top 10 in every single game except 2013...and Cozad is usually one of those consistent top 10 teams. Sprinkle in Aquinas being in 5 of the last 10 C2 championship games, and it's intense how dominating the cream of the crop in C1 has been in the past decade.

2016-O’Neill (13-0) 39, Bishop Neumann (11-2) 22
2015-Columbus Scotus (12-1) 32, Norfolk Catholic (12-1) 27
2014-Boone Central/Newman Grove (13-0) 54, Ashland-Greenwood (12-1) 14
2013-Cozad (13-0) 47, Ashland-Greenwood (11-2) 21
2012-Norfolk Catholic (12-1) 24, Boone Central/Newman Grove (11-2) 13
2011-Norfolk Catholic (13-0) 20, Platteview (11-2) 6
2010-Norfolk Catholic (13-0) 28, Pierce (11-2) 13
2009-Hastings St. Cecilia (13-0) 26, Norfolk Catholic (12-1) 18
2008-Pierce (12-1) 20, Boys Town (12-1) 10
2007-Pierce (13-0) 34, Bishop Neumann (12-1) 28 OT

This. It's usually the same teams competing year in and year out, private or public. NC, Aquinas, Pierce, Boone, Boys Town, Neumann, Wahoo Public, Lakeview, Scotus, Adams Central. That's why I enjoy classes C1 and C2 the most out of any other class.
