6 of 70 is between 8% and 9%. There are about 30 parochial schools of 254 Football teams. That means parochial schools make up between 11-12% of the membership. The representation in the Shrine Bowl doesn't seem that far off to me.

Most of the perochial schools are in the lower classes. Simply put there is a lot of individual talent to be pulled from the upper classes. And that's what has happened.

I may be a little biased but Aquinas puts together one of the best C2 teams in recently memory and doesn't have one Shrine Bowler?
I've always felt Aquinas teams are guys who don't get headlines but do the dirty work and win. Which if I were them, I wouldn't care. They have a few titles, which are more important than individual awards.

Engelhaupt and Buroughs at Norfolk Cahtolic both declined fwiw. As did Stille, Lenners and Manchigiah.

so are you saying that the numbers should always work out, kinda like if the public school are 88% of the schools, then they should win 88% of the titles. Or do the private supporters only use the numbers and percentages when it doesnt favor them ??
