Quinn Johnson of Loomis hit 12 three-pointers tonight in a game against Alma. Johnson now has 324 career 3-pointers, breaking the old all-class career record of 320 set by Brady Delimont of Ainsworth in 2016.

===================================

On the girls side, Fremont hit 21 3-pointers as a team in a win over Lincoln Southeast tonight, breaking the old mark of 19 set by Seward, also in 2016.

Trying hitting that shot with 6-foot-7 to 6-foot-9 NBA athletes with elite speed and skill defending you.
This is one of the most difficult things for the average fan to comprehend.

On the difficulty scale, being a 6"3" Class D shooter is closer to warm up shooting than Division 1 shooting. I am not saying anything bad about this young man and am certainly not saying anything bad about the lower classes of basketball. My own kids played C1-C2. It is just such a wide gap.

The kid can flat out play ball! How many players in Nebraska are shooting over 6-8 NBA level talent night in and night out? I bet several coaches in larger classes would love to have him on their teams!

No, I am not implying that he can't play. The questions was, where is his Nebraska Scholarship. The guys that get those D1 Scholarships ARE in fact shooting over defenders that have that kind of size. Sean makes a good point there. It isn't personal, it is a fact.

I believe that list is missing Allison Weidner

Fremont's Taylor McCabe is now the career Class A girls scoring leader with 2,228 points. The previous Class A record holder was Jessica Shepard who had 2,227 points playing for Lincoln Southeast and Fremont and graduated in 2015.
