Other Sports XC District Assignments

[Alum-Ni]

Cross country district meets will be held across the state on Thursday, October 17. In all four classes, the top 15 individuals and top three teams will qualify for the state meet in Kearney. In all district meets this year, the boys race will run before the girls race to mirror the state meet schedule.

In Classes A and B, district assignments are based on the fastest two meets for each team, defined as the average time of the scorers in the meet. For Class A in 2024, the girls' seeding takes priority, so the NSAA will use the serpentine method to seed the Class A girls teams between the four districts, which will be held at two sites. The boys teams are assigned to the same "site" as their girls counterpart, but may be in a different "district" than the girls. (In 2025, boys seeding will take priority.) In Class B, teams are divided into eastern and western sections, and then like Class A, are seeded and placed into one of two districts at the same "site".

Class C and D districts are determined solely on geography.
