Just asking number crunchers for early C-2 bracket. Still 2 weeks to go just time to start with predictions. I know centennial is 1 it's after that.

Looks like Sutton could get the overall number one seed at 408 (45.33) points compared to Centennial's 405 (45.0) if Shelby beats North Bend. North Platte St Pats will land at the 16th seed with 358 (39.77) points due to district title. It looks as if 362 (40.22) points gets you in on wildcard.

Does Battle Creek have a shot if teams like Shelby-Rising City and Centura lose their last two games?

NPSP will get in, they are in front of BC. GICC and Bergan will probably split their last two games.

I have the winner of Hartington CC and Battle Creek getting a 15 seed at either 358 or 359 points respectively. They will possibly face Centennial. They will get in regardless of if Shelby wins or loses their last two games.

If the playoffs started TODAY, district champions would be:

Wilber-Clatonia
Oakland-Craig (wins tie-break over BRLD)
Norfolk Catholic
Centennial
Sutton (wins tie break over St. Cecilia)

North Platte St. Patrick's

#1 Centennial (7-0) - 45.7143
#16 North Platte St. Patrick's (4-3) - 39.0000

#9 Bancroft-Rosalie/Lyons-Decatur (6-1) - 40.7143

Rufuller, I was thinking the same thing. It looks like one or the other should sneak in. I think Alumni's predictions are based on some assumptions, and we won't know for another couple weeks. Thanks, Alum-NI for dong the math. Should give us all something to argue about for a couple weeks (wink, wink)

Mine just look at where things stand today (i.e. season was over and playoffs were tomorrow). I don't project/predict future matchups

who do you have as the 16 seed then ??

North Platte St Pats at 355.
I believe they will have 358 because mitchell should easily win last two games and Hershey or bridgeport will move up one division because they play each other
so if HCC wins they are 16th seed if battle creek wins they are 15th seed and NPSP 16th seed

I had mitchell and hershey losing last two games

Hershey plays bridge port winner moves up a division and Mitchell plays two team that lost to a team mitchell beat handly but you never know
Yes, I had Bridgeport giving 3 bonus points to NPSP by winning out, but Mitchell dropping from Div. 2 to Div. 3. Only scores I compared was Ogallala-Mitchell game (53-20), Ogallala-Chadron game (20-34), and Ogallala-Sidney (18-41) so who knows. I see Chase County was a different story for Mitchell. Sounds like a toss up out there in the panhandle and could go either way. Pure guess on my part based on those scores since I have not seen those teams on film. But still fun to project so I can see how far off I am!

What if North bend would lose last 2? I think Aquinas would get in even at 5-4. Which 16 teams do you project in?

In no particular order
Aquinas Catholic
Centura/Battle Creek/Hartington CC *Centura needs to win one of last two games to get in. If they do, then BC and HCC do not get in.
Bergan
BRLD
Centennial
D-T
Freeman
Hastings SC
NBC
Norfolk-Catholic
NPSP
O-C
SRC
St Paul
Sutton
W-C

I project Hastings SC at 359 or 362 if they lose last 2 depending on if Hershey can move up division by beating Bridgeport. I project Fremont Bergan at 359 assuming Yutan beats Louisville. Do you guys see it that way?

So if NBC loses last 2 who would squeak in?

Wood River will lose 3 points from Hastings St Cecilia if they lose to DT and Sutton and be at 352.

Battle Creek (4-3) will be no gimme against HCC (3-4). So if HCC wins there will be slight shuffle in the lower 4 seeds.

North Platte St. Pat’s will more than likely be the 16th seed. They will win their district next Friday more than likely.

Prediction assuming Aquinas beats Shelby-RC, North Bend over David City, Doniphan-Trumbull over Milford, Sutton over St. Cecilia, Oakland-Craig over BRLD, and no big upsets.
  1. Centennial
  2. Sutton
  3. Norfolk Catholic
  4. Oakland-Craig
  5. Wilber-Clatonia
  6. Doniphan-Trumbull
  7. St. Paul
  8. BRLD
  9. Freeman
  10. Aquinas
  11. St. Cecilia
  12. North Bend
  13. Shelby Rising-City
  14. Battle Creek
  15. Bergan
  16. NP St. Pats
Centura could be 12 seed and bump Bergan with win over Broken Bow.
