Obviously a lot can change, but I would be shocked if I was far off. The enrollment numbers came directly off the NDE webpage earlier this week. Schools like LHNE, Cross County, Southwest, Winnebago, Etc can really rock the boat with their choice to either play 8 or 11 man.

Don't think it would change anything, but Ewing is no longer going with O'Neill. They're going with Chambers & Wheeler Central

You have Homer listed as C-2....heard through the grapevine they are opting down to 8 man next year. Anyone know if this is true our not? Winnebago will stay 8 man, I would be shocked if they moved back up to C-2.

I'll adjust accordingly as facts and declarations come in. For now I'm ignoring the "maybes"

Wouldn't be surprised if Homer dropped down to 8 man.

Can't see Bago ever going back to 11 man, hard to ever get anything consistent there going.

Saw a while back that Ponca discussed 8man at some board meetings. Not going anytime soon, AD was just making the board aware that there are barely any surrounding schools playing 11 man anymore.

Norfolk Catholic keeps getting close to C2, they would dominant if that ever happened.

Will be interesting to see what LHNE does.

Also interested to see how the new Bancroft Lyous coop fares in 11 man.

From what I've heard 99% sure Homer is opting down to 8 man

If I have entered information incorrectly on my list, miscalculated numbers, not listed a co-op, or haven't noted a team that is opting up or down please let me know. I want to get this accurate.

If Homer opts down it won't change much. Valentine would probably drop to C-2 is all (based off of everything else being correct).

Thanks hailvictors.

With that many schools opting for 8 man the highest enrollments in C2 are starting to get quite a bit higher than recent years.

Good deal. My numbers are right on except I had Elmwood-Murdock at 98 instead of 108 (Addition error). This projection should be right on the money then pending 8 man/11 man moves. One minor change....Valentine/Central City/St Paul all have 135 which is the cut line. St Paul has the lowest 3 year average, Valentine the second lowest, Central City the highest. That leaves Central City in C-1 and moves Valentine down to C-2 if this projection holds.

Wood River is staying up. Ravenna is going down. Weeping Water is surely going down...61 enrollment number after a scheduling cycle where they forfeited games.

Hula Man.....are you talking about Weeping Water or Wood River when you say that you have talked to their coach and they are staying 11 man?

looking at the original list and if you switch valentine and central city...........

what will the NSAA do with Valentine in C2? Look at a map and they aren't close to anybody

I'll get all the points plotted on a map and have a look this weekend. Last year I was 100% accurate with the C1/C2 districts, but you never know. It is a crap shoot this year because you don't know which districts will be the 5 teamers and which will be the 6

they would go in the NSP or Heshey District or Ravenna, wood river, Arcadia district

I won't argue with you on that - you are probably correct. however, it doesn't appear to be that much longer to send them to battle creek, hartington, lutheran, crofton, then pick up nps, hershey, loup city, st. paul, etc. as non-district games. it would also be a way to grab some score comparisons throughout the year. anyway that it gets done, there is going to be a lot of miles put on their busses!!

According to Alum-ni's numbers and the schools that are dropping to 8 man.

Not sure on Homer, had heard they were dropping to 8 man.

Anyway with Homer dropping, I've got 43 in each class.

Cut off is at Norfolk Cath, and Central City. Is that wrong?
