According to this year's manual, "For 2nd round, quarterfinal and semifinal games, the following procedure will be used: • If the two teams both hosted their previous game, the team with the highest point average will host. If their point averages are the same, the team with the higher seed will host. • If the two teams were both visitors in their previous game, the team with the highest point average will host. If their point averages are the same, the team with the higher seed will host. • If one team was a visitor and one team was a host in their previous game, the team which was a visitor will host."
So it is Just like in previous years.
So it look like lower seed will host 3 games in D2: Creighton vs. FCSH; Medicine Valley vs. Central Valley; and Ansley/Litchfield vs. BDS.
Looks like lower seeds will host 5 games in D1: LCC vs. Tri County; A/LC vs. Stanton; LCC vs. DCS; Howells-Dodge vs. Burwell; and Cambridge vs. Cross County

Hopefully after next years cycle this fix this issue. Treat the round of 32 like substate because that is what it is. The playoffs truly start in the round of 16 because the bracket is reseeded.

Wynot is not a semifinal team. They get knocked off in this round. They got a nice draw with a Winside team who had a nice season, but wasn’t an exceptional team by any means.
