If you had to pick some games you remember watching live, whether it was at state, districts or a regular season knockout drag out, that you’d love to watch back on video. What would some be?

For me, I’ll never forget being at state basketball in 2002. C1 semi final between Neumann and Syracuse. Went into double OT with Neumann winning 78-72.

Lincoln High vs Omaha Westside at state in 2003, the semi-final in Class A. Lincoln High won 45-44.

Oakland-Craig vs Louisville at state, first round at Lincoln North Star. Oakland wins 56-54 in OT at the buzzer.

Thanks for posting the video. I wasn't there but remember watching the 4th qt. and the overtime on TV.

State semifinal game with Pierce against Ainsworth. Pierce had a big halftime lead (20ish?) and Jesse Carr, Mike McCleod, Jered McGill, and company came back and beat them. That was one of the most fun I've had watching a game that I had no skin in the game.

I'd also throw in any of Winnebago's games from their state championship season. That was a wild three days!

The Ainsworth game was in 2007. I wasn’t at that game, but definitely remember hearing they came back from a big deficit. 2007 was a great boys state tournament.

Class A: Omaha Central vs Bellevue West in the final, Central won 93-85 in OT.

Class B: Skutt beat Beatrice 59-52 in the final

Class C1: Had the Ainsworth semi final come back and beating Chadron by 4 in the final.

Class C2: The ridiculous Louisville vs Oakland-Craig first round game that completed changed his attendance and gate were taken at the state tournament. An amazing semi of Ponca vs Wes Eikmeier and Bergan, Ponca winning 58-56.

Class D1: Wauneta-Palisade going 25-0. Their closest game in the regular season was 13 point win over 16-4 Perkins County. Scored over 1,200 points that season. Truly one of the best small school teams I’ve ever seen.

Class D2: Spencer-Napier’s dynasty comes to an end, losing to St. Edward in the finals 48-42. That would be their last state tournament appearance as Spencer-Naper.

O'Neill vs Wayne 2017 District Final
I can't remember exactly how it played out down the stretch, but a few things I am sure of. Wayne has a fast-break dunk to make it a 10 point with a little over 60 seconds left. However, O'Neill of its 33 points scored in the 4th quarter, had two 4-point possessions in the last minute. Justin Appleby hit a tough go-ahead floater in the lane with just seconds on the clock. O'Neill punched their ticket to Lincoln and Wayne stayed home. Great game!
O'Neill 50 - Wayne 49

The RPAC finals in 2012 and 2013 between Paxton and Southern Valley. The 12 game was memorable for it’s ending. Paxton won on a lob with like a second left. The 13 game wasn’t quite as thrilling at the end (Paxton by 4), but both teams were better than the year before. Southern Valley went on to win the C2 state championship and Paxton lost in the D1 finals to Howells-Dodge. The tournament final was still played in a high school gym back then and the atmosphere for both was incredible

Norfolk vs Lincoln NORTHEAST I think in the final, looked like the whole town was there rooting for the Panthers, I believe it to be around 88 but could be wrong, PRICE drains the shot from the corner and the crowd erupts with joy.

No question in my mind, it’d be the 92 Ogallala win vs. Wahoo to break the streak. I really miss the days of The Bob absolutely packed to the top, is it just me or did it seem louder in there than Pinnacle?? I know the game itself wasn’t the best ever at the state tournament but to end the nations longest winning streak would of been amazing to witness.

I was sitting at the top! Right by Lyons legend Jeff Hayes.

Games I saw live that I'd love to re-watch:
Rob Faust's crazy three-day run leading Norfolk to 87 A title.
Auburn/Valentine 1985 semifinal.
Holdrege/Lex girls game from Mandelko's senior year, I think

Games I didn't see, but would love to:
Grant v Rushville 1982 district final in Ogallala. Jackman and Kelly Stouffer.
Ogallala girls end SSC streak (1998?)
1962 Northeast v Tech controversial A final
Any film of Mike McGee at North
Hastings upsets #1 Grand Island in Beatrice district in 1976
Hastings and Chuck Stickles end GI win streak in 1948 district final at GI Airport

1992 was a great year at the boys state tourney. In addition to Ogallala's win over Wahoo, I think that was also the year Andre Woolridge scored 50 for Benson in the Bunnies' win over Hastings in the finals.

Not old enough for the games most of you are posting about, but I would rewatch the 2010 D2 state championship over again. Kaczor v. Lempka with Lempka hitting the game winner at the buzzer in OT just when it looked like Ewing had won it.

I was sitting 4 rows up behind Ogallala's bench. Didn't see much of the Hasting's North Platte semi-final because I was standing down by the pool at the Bob so I can stand on the floor bleachers. Nobody in the floor bleachers sat during the game.

I was also in the Ogallala Aud when Grant played Rushville. I honestly forgot that Kelly Stouffer played on that team, but I sure do remember Bill Jackman. He could flat out play. Funny thing about him signing with Duke, is that none of kids in Ogallala had ever heard of Duke University.

You guys hadn’t heard of Duke? I remember rooting for them when the team with Jim Spanarkel and Mike Gminski made the finals in the 70’s. They fell on hard times before they Coach K though. Would have loved to have been at the Ogallala/Wahoo game but we calved during the State Tournament back then. Remember listening to it on the radio

Myself and none of my friends had ever heard of Duke before Jackman signed with them. Jackman was also the first high school player I had ever seen dunk in a game. He dunked a couple of times on the east basket in the Aud against Ogallala in 1982.

Well I'm older and the most memorable game that I would like to go and rewatch is the regional final at Norris in 72. Kim Veerhusen from Adams and Earl Spitsnogle from Odell each went off with 40 odd some. No 3 pointers either then. Adams went on to pull away in the 4th for 113-89 win that was back and forth until the last minute or two.

Pierce led 39-18 early in the 3rd quarter and Ainsworth had a 27-4 run to take the lead. Was a really good Pierce team whose only 2 losses were to Ainsworth in district final and state semifinal.

Don’t remember that I guess. It’s funny how you remember the first dunk you see live. Mine was a game in 77 or 78 in Lexington. They still played on a stage like North Platte did back then. A kid threw one down one handed early in the game. The grand piano below the stage/court was in my line of vision when he did it.

I was a sophomore on that 81-82 Ogallala team. I had played guard in junior high and on the freshman team and then I hit a growth spurt. I was a 6’2”, 145 pound scout team post that year. I don’t think I have them the look they needed to face Jackman :)

If my memory serves correct that also would have been Coach Terry Kramer's first season in Ogallala. The Aud was really packed that night.

Coach Cipriano was my PE teacher the year he was in Ogallala. Cip was only in Ogallala for one year.
