Lincoln East wins the Central Plains Regional today in Rapid City, South Dakota and advances to the American Legion World Series which will be held beginning August 10 in Shelby, North Carolina.

Lincoln East is currently has a 51-10 record on the season.

Lincoln East is the 24th Nebraska team to advance to the American Legion World Series. The only Nebraska team to ever win the American Legion World Series was the Creighton Prep team in 1939.
