I'd like to add to this post......I hate that some teams get to host a district final and others do not simply due to whom they are playing and how far apart they are.

Either make all the games neutral site or let all higher seeds in all classes host.

I believe there are some proposals for this year there to eliminate the 180 mile rule. Hopefully people get on board. It gets annoying when we see football teams traveling farther than Northwestern did to Lincoln for a game, but then we have rules about travel in other sports.

the rule in football is not there because finding a host giving the ok to host an outdoor event that maybe rain or snow and destroy their field is almost impossible No matter the weather you are not damaging an indoor court. You get it

Finding someone to host an indoor event isn't nearly as easy as you think today either. No one complains a bit about travel in football, wrestling, or softball....then they turn around and complain that they have to travel in volleyball and basketball....and I'd venture to guess most of the time it's the east complaining about going west!

A few years ago we contacted 12-15 schools before someone would agree to host a District Final on a Saturday. Eliminate the neutral site.
Same!! It's tough to get workers when your school isn't involved. Exact reason NSAA member schools voted to move to highest seed hosting sub-districts!
