Interesting story lines coming into Round 2 this coming Friday...

1). Aurora vs 8). Gretna
Back to back 'Western teams' Gretna has to play in the playoffs thus far. Be interesting to see how well they can fair, both sides, with different playing styles. I have to think Gretna is the better team but might be closer with the furthest trip so far this year for Gretna.. 28-31 Gretna

#5 McCook vs #4). Plattsmouth
This is a tough one. With Plattsmouth's smash-mouth running game they will be able to control the clock but McCook has got a lot of size up front compared to the teams that Plattsmouth has played all year long. Plus, McCook has the experience factor too as this is the Blue Devil's first trip.. 24-14 McCook

#6 York vs #3 Elkhorn South
Got to take the boys from the Southside in this one. Too much Moses and too many options for York to handle, especially going into Elk-South territory.. 35-24 Elkhorn South

#10 Pius vs #2 Skutt
UPSET OF THE PLAYOFFS SO FAR. I think Pius is hitting their stride at the perfect time, and ever since their week 1 loss to Gretna, they have been handling their opponents well and have played the tough teams (like taking Skutt to 3 OT's) even better. The biggest factor in this game, it is back in Lincoln with Pius playing @ home.. 21-22 Pius

Is Bryant hurt? I was looking at game stats on Maxpreps and saw Bryant only had a couple carries against Gretna and I didn't see him in the stats against Sidney.

He was hurt but was back for the York game. I don't think he is 100%.

Aurora is in the finals. Most everyone has picked against them during the entire playoff. I wonder when people are going to realize they have great football team?
