Several records were set this year during the 2022 Track & Field season:

On the boys side,

- Carson Noecker of Hartington Cedar Catholic broke his own Class C state record in the 3,200 meters several times this season. He set the old mark in 2021 going 9:24.56. This year he established a new final Class C record of 9:11.70

- The Fremont boys 4x800 relay team set a new Class A and All-Class state record with a time of 7:42.42, breaking the old Class A and All-Class record of 7:44.13 set by Lincoln North Star in 2005.

- Carter Nelson of Ainsworth tied the Class C state record in the high jump with a jump of 7' 0". He now shares that record with Josh Long of Arapahoe, who also jumped 7' 0" in 1994.

- Reece Grosserode of Lincoln Pius X set a new Class A state record in the triple jump with a leap of 49' 0.5", breaking the old Class A record of 48' 11.25" set by John Gibson of Papillion-LaVista in 1996.

- Dajaz DeFrand of Lincoln High set a new Class A and All-Class state record in the 100 meters with a time of 11.64. That mark breaks the old A and All-Class record of 11.69 set by Chloe Akin-Otiko of Bellevue West in 2015.

- Dajaz DeFrand of Lincoln High set a new Class A and All-Class state record in the 200 meters with a time of 23.74. That breaks the old Class A record of 24.11 set by Chloe Akin-Otiko of Bellevue West in 2016 and the old All-Class record of 24.06 set by Sarah Lyons of Omaha Brownell-Talbot in 2006.

- Kennedy Wade of Bennington set a new Class B state record in the 200 meters with her time of 24.71, breaking the old Class B record of 24.83 set by Katy Jay of Mitchell in 1998.

- Stella Miner of Omaha Westside set a new Class A state record in the 800 meters with a time of 2:10.16, breaking the old Class A record of 2:12.12 set by Elizabeth Lange of Lincoln Pius X in 2004

- Kailynn Gubbels of Arlington set a new Class B state record in the 100 meter high hurdles with a time of 14.54, breaking her own record of 14.59 she set in 2021.

- Grand Island Northwest set a new Class B state record in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 48.12, breaking the old Class B record of 48.75 set by Blair in 2021
