File this under the “That sub really sucked category” but Wynot’s 2 wins were by a combined 117-15...whoa.
So if BRLD, GACC, Ponca and Oakland-Craig all win next week. It would be the first time in Class C2 that four teams within a 60 mile radius of each other would make state in the same class.
I looked back classes C1-D2 since the girls state tournament started in 1977, it’s never happened in classes D1 and D2. It’s happened three times in Class C1.
1986: Pierce, Battle Creek, Randolph and Pender made it. (All but Pender made the semi’s too, only because Pender played Randolph in the first round.)
2017: Malcolm, Bishop Neumann, Louisville and Lincoln Christian.
2019: West Point-Beemer, North Bend Central, Bishop Neumann and Wahoo High.
