New Coop - Wakefield - Allen - Emerson Hubbard

So why did Bejot resign? Because of the coop fiasco?
He looks like an older guy. Maybe he just said F it after the whole thing & trying to do the best thing for the kids. Hope it's nothing else, best of luck to him.

Just to cut down on speculation, Bejot resigned because basically he and the school board have not been on the same wavelength for the past year. He is stepping down so the school can begin moving in a new direction sooner then later. He did not do anything wrong immorally, that much I can verify.

So will this topic be revisited again this fall with the new football cycles coming for 2022-2023? Or has this ship completely sailed on Wakefield ever joining Tri-County Northeast?

Does anyone know did Allen and EH co-op in Jr. High sports and how it went this past school year?

Yes.....Allen and E-H co-op'd in JH sports. Played against Wakefield several times in fact.

So if Wakefield needs to co-op with someone in 5-10 years, who would it be do you think? Or would Allen-EH let them in the fold after some time?

I get the sense they burned the bridge. But, Allen and EH did the same thing to each other a few years earlier and they eventually came to peace so who knows. One of the biggest factors that seems to help coops succeed is both parties having an equal need. If one has the upper hand it often doesn't work unless the smaller school is willing to give in to everything. Think Boone Central and Newman Grove. Allen and EH is working because they are on equal footing. Down the road if Wakefield needs a partner they are in a difficult spot. Options are Wayne, Pender, and Tri County Northeast (Allen and EH). Good luck getting Pender or Wayne to give into anything. If and when that time rolls around they better hope that Tri County Northeast is in a time of need again.
