So when will the NSAA go to 16 team playoffs for D1 and D2? Of the 64 teams in the playoffs, 8 are 3-5 and another 14 are 4-4! Each class had a 2-6 team as one of the first 5 out! I would think most of those teams would rather have a 9 game schedule with a chance of winning your last game as a senior, possibly against a cross county rival, rather than get on a bus for a 5 or 6 hour bus trip knowing you'll probably get beat by 40 or more. It was a good thing cutting C1 and C2 to 16 teams. For that matter, A and B could probably play a 10 game schedule and cut their playoffs to 8 teams based on the records of some of the playoff teams in those classes.

Good luck to all teams involved. Have a safe playoff run....

They already have a chance to win their last game playing 8 games. I really haven't heard 1 decent argument for cutting to 16 teams other than the people for it think it's the right thing. Having 32 teams isn't that big of a deal. In every other sport every team is in the playoffs once district rolls around. Rather have 3-5 teams in than 6-2 teams left out.
