OPS suspends summer workouts

Really NSAA summer-rules period ends this Friday, right? So this is just a four-day issue. But, ya, August 3 is more interesting now.

Can you imagine the open enrollment out of Omaha if the cancel fall sports I am thinking 200 plus kids a school would be looking for a place to go

90 day "sit out". Doesn't do much good for the fall season. Does this suck, yes. But if they gave waivers, it would turn into the wild west. Plus, will surrounding schools want, have capacity, or accept that many kids?

Tough situation for everyone. Regardless of what OPS does, the surrounding schools always have the option to decline option students if they don't have the capacity for them.

We all know for many the change of address to that district is not hard to do, for some not an option, I would say if NSAA keeps the 90 day sit out then still at least 50 per each school will find a way and many schools will make easy for some of those
