The line between east west has moved as far west as i have ever seen in D2. There must be some good teams out west.

The sixteen teams in the west bracket are all among the 22 farthest-west schools in D-2.

I'd say it's the exact opposite. There are no good teams out west in D2. 9 out of the top 10 rated teams are in that east bracket. This is a sham! If this works out like that projection, they need to do something about how they seed the tournament! You always want to separate the best teams from each other!

The only reason it looks like that is because the breaking point is moving further west. There are multiple schools right on the line that are very good right now that are going east when they often go west.

I think his post was just referring to the fact that usually the breaking point is further east meaning that even a higher percentage of the teams that make the playoffs are in the eastern part of the state. Seems to have better football. But there's also more D1 schools in the East so they play more D1 schools and that raises playoff points some. I only know about teams in the east until it comes time for the playoffs so I try to remain neutral. I know the team from the west just about shocked everyone by taking Exeter to the final gun in the D1 final. I didn't think that would be a ball game at all.I do understand why some people get frustrated because they feel like they should make it further in the playoffs if the seating was done differently. They have changed it in class see now that there are only 16 teams to where east or west makes no difference in the parents. maybe they will see how that works and think about changing it for 8 man football, also. but I guess in the wind up you have to beat em all to win a championship anyway. I realize that doesn't mean that the second best team gets that runner up plaque, medals and a chance to play in Memorial Stadium. But most people can watch the playoffs unfold and figure out who are the teams that belong in the top 5 at the end of the season.

2 3 and 4 seeds have all recently been in the west. Only giltner is east of grand island. The last 6 years it is 3-3 in state titles, it is working fine.
