I've never played Ponca, never coached against Ponca, never seen Ponca on film..... but I think that program is deserving of a shout out from fans, coaches, and players from all classes and all areas of the state. In the first five games they have played teams that are a combined 19-6. The 6 losses their opponents have are to teams that are 5-0 or 4-1 (Battle Creek, West Holt, Aquinas, and Oakland-Craig). Ponca has played the most difficult schedule of any team in any class...just my opinion.
My hope is that there are some players and/or fans in the community of Ponca that read these boards. If there are.....keep playing hard. The wins will come. Against most other schedules you are 5-0, 4-1, or 3-2 right now. Keep battling. I have a ton of respect for what your program has done this year. It takes a mature group of young men to keep pushing through a gauntlet like you have just faced.
