Softball State Softball Finals moving to Lincoln

On a 5-3 vote at today's NSAA Board of Directors meeting, the opening rounds of the state softball tournament will remain in Hastings with the finals being moved from Omaha to Bowlin Stadium in Lincoln. This format will be for the next two years (through 2026 season).

And, Hastings keeping the opening rounds. That surprises me a bit, except the Lincoln complex hasn't hosted a game yet.

My guess is that in 2027, the quarters and semis will be in the new Lincoln Complex and the finals in Bowlin.

This will also make the TV coverage of the finals easier for Nebraska Public Media where they won't have to take everything to Omaha.
