Probably 15+ Division 1 softball players in one place, on the same day(s). One of the more under-rated NSAA championships there is as far as talent goes.

Interesting.....

15 that are already committed to play Division I somewhere?

Without thinking too much, by just looking at the teams, there's 10 committed so far (doesn't include some very talented sophs). Softball recruiting changed last year & now coaches can't talk to players before Sept 1 of their junior year.
You'll see everyone from JUCO coaches to B10 coaches down there on Wednesday.
On a similar note...
Currently, Papio is the #2 team in the country. Their pitcher is committed to OU. That's the equivalent of Alabama in football or Duke in hoops. They also have 2-3 other players who will be D1.

I had read about the Papio pitcher, seems like the real deal. Some outstanding pitching overall in this state tournament.

I'm glad this event is in Hastings. Seems like it really gets great treatment and more exposure than had it remained in Omaha.

Updated after final results with the following state champions

Class A: Papillion-LaVista
Class B: Wayne
Class C: Fairbury
