Possible state record set in the triple jump! Jaylen Lloyd from Omaha Central jump 50' 3.5" beating the old mark set by Todd Brown's mark of 50' 2.5" of Holdrege set back in 1978! Still waiting for final results to see if it was wind legal or not.

Per prep running nerd, the wind was just over the legal limit.....so will not count as a state record.

Quite a battle in that event.....Pius X's Reece Grosserode went 49' 0.5" on his first attempt, which was wind-legal, and that set a new state meet record.

That's a shame. Just noticed he's only a junior so has a whole year to break it and possibly the sprinting records too along with Malachi. Grosserode is only a sophomore so it's a possibility it could be broken 2 years in a row after being untouched for that long

Was there a wind reading in 1978?
