The tie breaker for Maywood, Lyons Decatur, Bertrand, and HTRS is pretty close. I am not 100% sure I am accurate but I think I am.Awesome work Grizz! Thanks!
Anything jump off the pages to you guys? How close was the tie breaker for Maywood?
The jump to C1 for DT will be interesting. That was a really good, and really young, C2 team last year. Probably would have been the favorite in C2 this year but now they get to deal with the Wahoo's, Aurora's, AG's.... tough.Awesome work Grizz! Thanks!
Anything jump off the pages to you guys? How close was the tie breaker for Maywood?
WOW! That is so close. Thanks again for all the information! The tie breaker for Maywood, Lyons Decatur, Bertrand, and HTRS is pretty close. I am not 100% sure I am accurate but I think I am.
a. The first tie-breaker will be a three-year average of enrollment which includes the year on which the current year’s classification is based and the two previous years. The higher three-year average will be in the larger class. b. If the tie still exists, then the school with the higher immediate previous year’s enrollment will be placed in the larger class.
3 year averages of the teams that have 30 boys in this classification:
HTRS: 30,32,27 - 33
Bertrand: 30,32,36 - 32.6
Lyons Decatur: 30,38,27 - 31.6
Maywood Hayes Center: 30,31,28 - 29.6
Walthill: 30,28,31 - 29.6
Palmer: 30,29,24 - 27.6
Crawford: 30,18,15 - 21
If you make it to b. for the tie breaker, last years #'s were:
HTRS: 32
Bertand: 32
Lyons Decatur: 38
Maywood Hayes Center: 31
Walthill: 28
Palmer: 29
Crawford: 18
This is so spot on. What are your thoughts of them competing with those teams? They were young and really good last year. The jump to C1 for DT will be interesting. That was a really good, and really young, C2 team last year. Probably would have been the favorite in C2 this year but now they get to deal with the Wahoo's, Aurora's, AG's.... tough.
I wouldn't guess their regular season schedule to change a whole lot. They beat most of the C1 teams that they played last year so I don't see that changing. This is so spot on. What are your thoughts of them competing with those teams? They were young and really good last year.
There might have been a couple of fist pumps seeing the news....Maywood Hayes Center to D2 shakes that class up some. I'm sure the schools in D1 won't hate to see them moving down.
I think 2022/2023 Central City is probably a good reference for what DT 2034/2024 is faced with (last year's DT team was better than CC).This is so spot on. What are your thoughts of them competing with those teams? They were young and really good last year.
Did the Soph Patel kid transfer to McCook? They'll still be good without him this year but does take a shot at their depth in the next few years if so.Maywood Hayes Center to D2 shakes that class up some. I'm sure the schools in D1 won't hate to see them moving down.
It looks that way according to Max Preps.Did the Soph Patel kid transfer to McCook? They'll still be good without him this year but does take a shot at their depth in the next few years if so.
NPSPWho will be the top 5 in D1 boys?
I like your first 3 and ainsworth. From what I saw this summer Bancroft will really struggle and HD is really downNPSP

I would be shocked to see Sutherland high in the rankings. They've struggled the last few years, they haven't been over .500 since 2017-2018. Last year went 5-15 and scored over 35 points only six times last year. Unless they have an influx of talent coming in I'd be hard pressed to see them as one of the best in D1 girls.Pender

Am I thinking of southern valley I thinkI would be shocked to see Sutherland high in the rankings. They've struggled the last few years, they haven't been over .500 since 2017-2018. That would make more sense. They had a solid team last year.Am I thinking of southern valley I think
Admittedly don't know a ton on HD and Bancroft-Rosalie.I like your first 3 and ainsworth. From what I saw this summer Bancroft will really struggle and HD is really down
Didn’t Elkhorn Valley lose two of their best players in Werner and Ollendick? I know they had some younger guys who were good including those two previously mentioned players younger brothers but I’m just curious how losing two massive production starters can make you better?Early surprise teams in each class
Class A Lincoln North Star …. Lots of young talent
Class B pius.. not sure if this is a surprise
Class c1 DC west … time for them to shine
Class C2 Elkhorn valley … should be better than last year
Class D1 GACC …. Toughest d1 schedule will be battle tested
Class D2… Mayes center????
How are these numbers figured. Sorry, I’mD2

Lost oldest ollendick. Great offensive player but played zero defense!! His younger brother is a beast of a player.Didn’t Elkhorn Valley lose two of their best players in Werner and Ollendick? A lot of length on that team from when I watched them with athletes that are really good in transition but still have some nice sets in the half court. Football team is for sure improved!Lost oldest ollendick. Great offensive player but played zero defense!! His younger brother is a beast of a player.
The team will play much better together
Just my 2 cents
The Werner kid is really good. Coaches kid. Gym rat.Lost oldest ollendick. Great offensive player but played zero defense!! His younger brother is a beast of a player.

HD is going to be a little down on talent compared to recent years, but yes the culture seems to turn them into a competitive team nonetheless.Admittedly don't know a ton on HD and Bancroft-Rosalie.
I had it in my head that Bancroft-Rosalie's district final team was young but I very well could have someone else mixed up. HD was more of a culture/always seem to be there guess.
A/L and SL was solely based on them returning much of their cores from 18+ win teams last year.
Football is the only sport in which the NSAA sets the regular season schedules. Teams can schedule whomever in the other sports, so the NSAA can do the assignments later and use enrollment data more relevant to the activity.Hilarious how football has timelines and set dates for everything from the NSAA. This is great and all sports should be like this. When it comes to other sports it is more we will get to it when we get to it. The classifications and districts are coming out later and later every year.
But they would be D1 if he didn’t transferDid the Soph Patel kid transfer to McCook? They'll still be good without him this year but does take a shot at their depth in the next few years if so.
