Lots of 40-50 year olds that aren't qualified to be a head coachOk, I'll ask....how is he a coach? What exactly gives him head coach qualifications.

But, how did he get a teaching degree in two years? It says he graduated high school in 21. I mean you can stack up a lot of college credit in high school, but two whole ass years' worth of a teaching degree? Kudos to him but I think its crazy.Playing experience, enthusiasm, dedication, willing to say yes & a Teaching degree.
The article said "pursuing". So, unless I'm misreading, I'd say contracts are signed and they didn't have any takers, so are hiring a non-teacher for their BB job. That's my guess, anyway. But, how did he get a teaching degree in two years? It says he graduated high school in 21. This. Maybe the new generation is better equipped to handle the bat S*** crazy parents.I believe I read he is a student at UNK (assuming going into teaching/coaching). With that said who cares? If Lex thinks he is qualified to be their head coach that is their prerogative. I seem to remember Amherst hiring a young college kid on short notice to coach their wrestling team and that seemed to work out ok.
My bad, thought he was the Young Sheldon of teaching/coaching.But, how did he get a teaching degree in two years? It says he graduated high school in 21. Why? Awesome to see he's getting a chance. To many good young coaches get passed up just because they don't have any experience. I'm sure there are plenty of teachers with coaching experience in that building but are to lazy or burnt out to do it. Hell why do schools keep giving guys like Bob Fuller jobs just to leave em hanging after a 1 season. Essentially destroying any program culture. When you could give a young kid who might actually care, has enthusiasm, and motivated to do well. I wish this kid the best of luck and hope he does well.My bad, thought he was the Young Sheldon of teaching/coaching.
Lex: rip up that contract.
I may be mistaken, but I don't believe you need a teaching certificate to be a HC in Nebraska.Well, working toward a teaching degree. It's a brave new world, Nebraska.
You are correct.I may be mistaken, but I don't believe you need a teaching certificate to be a HC in Nebraska.
You can also get a special coaching permit with the NDE and it is very easyYou are correct.

That’s a really good question in terms of what the percentage is but I’d guess it’s about 2/3 because of a better coaching opportunity. In my experiences my moves were about coaching twice and teaching once. The moves that I have knowledge about on a year to year basis are mostly the same.So each year we see all of these Coaching Vacancies.
Does anyone have an educated guess as far as what percentage of the Coaching changes are the result of a more appealing TEACHING opportunity as opposed to Coaching? I have often wondered if coaching or teaching is the motivation for people moving around.
I saw he's leaving after this year. Didn't see he was gone already. Maybe I missed itWhat happened? Seems like odd timing
Also why did Malcolm girls coach quit two weeks ago?
What happened there thought they had good record this year?David City is open
Yes, David City Boys. He is leaving the state.David City Boys?
