Basketball D1 and D2 postseason future

Has anyone heard if D1 and D2 will move the region format like C1 and C2 next year/moving forward?

I could see it trickling down, but not sure if there was a proposal to push it through for next year

I didn't see a proposal either for it yet. I hope it comes down to D1 and D2, it really makes the regular season more fun to follow as team move around and you can see potential matchups.
