I'm looking at C2-7. Talk about a power vacuum...
Mitchell hasn’t been too bad lately, but yeah not great. What’s the best district you think, c2-4 or maybe 3?

I think C2-4 and C2-6 will be tough districts. Aquinas, Neumann, Yutan will be fun race to follow in C2-2.
C2-6 will be a two horse race, with the rest of those schools getting slaughtered . C2-4 has three solid teams and Ponca as a wildcard with some years up and some down C2-2 I would beat is a two horse race

Kc started seniors in I think 18 of 22 positions last year. I think they have enough to make the playoffs with a favorable schedule, but I doubt they are slaughtering people.

I will be paying close attention to Amherst, Tri County and West Holt. I hope they have some success. I can't remember the last time three teams jumped up to 11 man from 8 man in the same cycle.

The few Amherst people I know were concerned about being competitive. But, they were also watching a c-1 playoff game at the time and Ballard from Boys town was running around trying to kill dudes. 🤪

I would bet Amherst wins some game, as they will get scheduled out west and playing anyone from C2-7 is probably a victory

They’d need a school bond, from what I hear they are full. I could see Axtell growing into a C school.
Bonds are tough to pass when you have commuters coming in, look at Hershey, Malcolm, Arlington as examples. Hopefully Amherst realizes it will help their town overall into the future. And at the end of the day is it really going to hurt their wallets with the bond tax? Nope.

That would be great for Axtell. I’m surprised they haven’t been C2 regularly given they are in the middle of Minden and Holdrege and only 16 miles from Kearney.

It’s not a bad thing to see these schools grow. Axtell, Amherst, Elm Creek, And Pleasanton are all less than 20 miles from Kearney.

Funny you say axtell going to c. If a few jh kids didn't move in this year we would have been 6 man. But in elementary there are 2 classes over 30 and 2 more over 25.

They have always kind of surprised me that they haven't gotten the kids like Amherst does. Its a pretty easy drive from Kearney, Holdrege and Minden to get there. They have had a lot of athletic success there too.

I suppose I was assuming Kearney would eventually grow south towards Awari Dunes. Maybe it won’t. I noticed some newer housing built to the west of the football field as well.

Tri County was 11 man not long ago. It'll be an adjustment for the players but for the coaches (depending on how long they've been there) it won't be too much because they've done it before

Pardon my stupidity. Hopefully someone can help me out with understanding this.

District B1 has 6 teams in it- Bennington, Blair, Elkhorn, Elkhorn North, Mt Michael, and Westview.
District B2 has 5 teams in it- Gross, Buena Vista, Skutt, Plattsmouth, and Ralston
District B3 will have 5 teams in it. Gretna East, Lincoln Northwest, Seward, York, Waverly

Why wouldn't you move Elkhorn (furthest south team in B1) to district B2, then move Plattsmouth to B3. That would leave 5 teams in B1 (Bennington, Blair, Elk North, Mt Michael, Westview), 5 teams in B2 (Gross, Buena Vista, Skutt, Elkhorn, Ralston), and 5 teams in B3 for year 1 (Lincoln Northwest, Plattsmouth, Seward, York, and Waverly). Gretna East isnt playing in year 1...so B3 has 4 teams year 1 while B1 has 6. Dumb.
