The NSAA Board of Directors met on November 1, 2023 at the NSAA Office in Lincoln with the following members present:

District I - Kara Graham, Lincoln Southeast​
District I - Dr. Dana Wiseman, Sutton​
District II - Dr. Nick Wemhoff, Fort Calhoun​
District II - Thomas Lee, Omaha Westview​
District III - Dr. Jon Cerny, Bancroft-Rosalie​
District IV - Darren Tobey, Broken Bow​
District V - Robert Drews, Arapahoe​
District VI - Dr. Troy Unzicker, Alliance​
Also in attendance were: Dr. Zainab Rida, Nebraska Department of Education liaison; Bobby Truhe, NSAA Legal Counsel; Lucas Post, HBE; and Krystal Siebrandt, HBE.

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m.

1. It was moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Items on the Consent Agenda included:

- Approval of the Agenda as amended​
- Approval of the Minutes of the October 5 Board of Directors Meeting​
- Approval of the following new cooperative sponsorships for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years​
  • Fremont, Fremont Bergan and Arlington for Boys Soccer and Girls Soccer
  • Lincoln Lutheran and Parkview Christian for Wrestling
- Approval of the following new cooperative sponsorships for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years​

2. Moved to permit Omaha Creighton Prep to Opt-Up in Speech for the 2023-2024 school year. Motion Carried: 8-0

3. Moved to Permit Homer to Opt-Up in Speech for the 2023-2024 school year. Motion Carried: 8-0

4. Moved to permit Norris to Opt-Up in Speech for the 2023-2024 school year. Motion Carried: 8-0

5. Moved to permit Gretna East to Opt-Up in Speech for the 2023-2024 school year. Motion Carried: 8-0

6. Moved to permit Lexington to Opt-Up in Speech for the 2023-2024 school year. Motion Carried: 8-0

7. Moved to permit Omaha Gross to Opt-Up in Boys Basketball for the 2023-2024 school year. Motion Carried: 8-0

8. Moved to permit Tekamah-Herman to Opt-Up in Girls Basketball for the 2023-2024 school year. Motion Carried: 8-0

9. Krystal Siebrandt and Lucas Post from HBE presented the audit.

10. The Board discussed an updated NSAA Meetings Policy.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:30 a.m.

The next meeting of the NSAA Board of Directors will be December 6, 2023 at the Divots Conference Center in Norfolk.
