Football Two schools have already canceled their 2023 football seasons

if they forfeit the rest of the season that is going to cost the school lots of cash with the new rules the NSAA came up with.

So how does that work for points when a team that is on your schedule forfeits. You get the points for a win or zero? Just saw that they would have played Clarkson Leigh and CC, does that affect them negatively?
They'll get the power points as if they beat a winless team

Yes. They are 10 miles apart. It make zero sense to have two small public school districts so close in proximity.
Osmond seems to be working with Randolph on a lot of things at the moment. You also have Wausa nearby.

About 15-20 years ago there was a plan for a mass consolidation between Osmond, Plainview, Creighton, Bloomfield and Wausa (IIRC)...it fell apart partly because they could not come to an agreement on school location.

Plainview is growing, the might be back to C2 in everything here shortly. Randolph although struggling currently has really good elementary numbers along with big community support for their cardinal kids learning center. Osmond tried to go with wausa a few years back for play production and maybe JH sports? But things fell apart and both are separate now. Osmond is in a real tough position as they might not have a long term co-op partner available right now.

That 5 school deal between those 3 Bloomfield and creighton was like a decade ago. Woulda formed either the largest C1 or a small B school. Probably woulda saved tax payers a ton of money in the long run too but nothing ever came of it. In the end co-ops don’t happen for the same reason bond don’t pass, because the tax payers in those districts don’t want them.

Again I’ve said it for years. Nebraska has too many school districts. It’s insane that Creighton, Plainview, Osmond and Randolph all have their own K-12 schools. It’s not the 70’s anymore.
