He was pretty successful at St. Paul that’s a very good hire for them. Did they fire uldrich? Wasn’t he the one proposing the D1 enrollment number for football be increased?
To clear the air here, Uldrich was not fired. In fact he was instrumental in making the move happen and humble enough to step down to make way for Fuller to be HC.
That a surprise. I had heard that the bottom was fixing to fall out at St. Paul, guess it was worse than I had imagined.
I don't know if I would go that far. St Paul had the most difficult schedule in C1. All 7 losses were to playoff teams I think.
Yes, schedule was very difficult and they were competitive in most for awhile anyway. Lots of season ending injuries to players that were 2 way starters. but there was a severe lack of talent on the field.
I should probably amend my statement form above. Aurora might have had the most difficult schedule in C1. 7 playoff teams (like St Paul) including a class B quarterfinalist. Coach Fuller did a really good job at St Paul. Best of luck to him at Hartington-Newcastle.
True, but I would also contend, after looking at it, that none were terribly competetive. I've also heard they were senior dominated and very little is on the way to help. I just didn't realize, quite, how bad it must be going to get.
I'm guessing with this move, that isn't in the cards.
