Game Balls

I have used Team Issue and GST's in the past. GST has always been my favorite, kids didn't mind the Team Issue Ball. One time we went with Wilson and they were terrible (leaked air, rock hard, etc). Just my experiences...

Speaking of "mudding" anybody have a particular brand and/or process they swear by?
Lena Blackburne Baseball Rubbing Mud.
Multiple ball brushes
Football oil
Football tack
Heat gun optional

Process for a new ball:
Brush Ball
Shaving Cream Ball - let it stil for an hour or two
Brush ball again
Mud ball - use a thin layer of mud cover everything except laces. - let is sit 24 hrs.
Brush ball again
Oil Ball - Wilson has an oil Big Game also has an oil GridIron Football Prep has an oil
Let ball sit 1-2 hrs.
Brush ball
Tack ball - I like a bar of wax that Wilson has bush in the wax and then you can hit it with a heat gun off and on while brushing it.

Then for an older ball oil and wax before the season. You could wax and brush game ball each week.

I'm no expert at this but I found our treated balls lasted longer and had a better feel. I've thought about starting a side hustle.

Baseball Class B and C District Brackets Released

I just wish baseball was in the summer because it hurts track numbers.

Get rid of Legion and play the season over the summer. I know, AD's would hate it, but gives kids the opportunity to do both.
I think overall this would be bad for not only baseball but multiple sports. We already compete for kids time in the summer with basketball camps, football camps, summer leagues. Now try to throw in a vacation. Baseball is best in the spring.

Baseball Class B and C District Brackets Released

The outrage of a small school beating a large school in football? I guess I'm not following your point here.
I believe you are confused by my post. I'm mentioning the last time Malcolm (4th smallest school with baseball) lost an elimination game in high school baseball, it was to Elkhorn North. If we expected Malcolm and Elkhorn North (or schools with similar size dispartity) to compete in the same class in football it would be outrage

Baseball Class B and C District Brackets Released

Getting rid of Legion Baseball is without a doubt one of the dumbest ideas I’ve ever heard. The kids already have the opportunity to do both and I believe that the kids playing high school baseball wouldn’t be interested in doing track anyway.
Also, talk to coaches.... Iowa is beginning more and more to hate summer baseball and softball. From what I've heard is it's harder for kids to get recruited, as college coaches aren't recruiting high school ball in the summer.

State Championship Football Games

If you wouldn't do it during the regular season, you shouldn't do it it for the finals. No team is spending the night at a hotel before or after a 5 hour trip in the regular season. A good coach and admin will keep routine in place.
Agree to disagree. To me, yes you are trying to win the game... but I think some take it so seriously (it's a game) they forget to enjoy the experience. I used to be that way... win, win, win... I've learned to appreciate the experience while making life long memories... both can be done at the same time.

Baseball Class B and C District Brackets Released

When are we going to get away with spring baseball in the lower classes. Only 9 teams in Class c have a winning record that are in districts!!!! Smh
I count 10 teams with winning records, so 40%. With a quick glance, D2 boys basketball had about 38% of teams with a winning record, does that mean we should get rid of that?
