The Battle Creek boys 4x100 relay team of Aden Pochop, Jaxon Mettler, Gavin Korth and Andy Ricchio set a new Class C state record with a time of 42.78, breaking the old mark of 42.85 set by Atkinson West Holt in 2024.

Crofton 8th grader Avery Arens ran a 5:04.18 in the 1,600 meters today at a meet in Battle Creek.....that is faster than the current high school Class C state record of 5:05.25. The record doesn't count, but she will be one to keep an eye on next year and beyond

It appears Barry Swisher has stepped down at Sioux County and will be replaced by Trevor Ginkens from Hay Springs. Coaches for the West Nebraska All-Star game were released yesterday and Ginkens was listed from Sioux County in the press release. I know for sure Swisher is going to help coach at Lusk, WY where his son is now in high school. No idea who is replacing Ginkens at Hay Springs.

Rick Petri is stepping down at Kearney Catholic (girls). He'll still be the AD.

Assistant Emily DeVall is the new head coach.
