EMF lost their starting QB midway through 1st quarter then H/N lost theirs shortly after. 14-14 halftime score then EMF scored 30 in 3rd, line took over and just ran them over.Hartington-Newcastle lost their starting QB/DB with 2:00 left in the first quarter. Tough break for them. He's the engine that makes that group go.

What's it look like if KC beats Valentine?BUMP -- See updated projection above.
I see both sides. You are correct it can be an advantage. Also, that #1 seed absolutely earned the right to host. At the same time, that host school could cost themselves money by not letting that opening round be played at a higher seed in that 4v5 and 3v6 scenario. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure mileage is paid out of gate receipts to traveling schools in the districts for volleyball and basketball and football playoffs.Just playing some devil's advocate here, why shouldn't the 1 seed in a regional sub -district make the others travel for the first round game? Wouldn't that provide more of an advantage to the #1 seed in a regional sub? I understand that it's not ideal for teams that have to travel, but this was a discussion before the regions even passed. As said then, #1 seed should be rewarded for their successful regular season with the competitive advantage of hosting all of these games.
This is true I am just guessing if the one seed is worried about the 4 vs 6 game then they are not much of one seed BUT yes and saying that They should change the rule to if the travel is over 180 miles in the first round of subs then they two First round only games be played at the higher seed if under 180 or a neutral site if over 180 miles. The upper classes have been doing this for awhile and use reasonable courtesy to not need such a ruling change but this doesnt seem to be the case in the lower classesJust playing some devil's advocate here, why shouldn't the 1 seed in a regional sub -district make the others travel for the first round game? agree and every once in awhile you will run into a A%% school who is just thatThe schools make the proposals. I can’t believe people don’t understand this yet. If AD’s and coaches don’t bring up the proposals, nothing changes.
This is the best way to get the best 8 teams to Lincoln. Some of you guys act like driving three hours is the worse thing in the world. It’s not.
Kinda figured it might not go Hartingtons way The district that EMF plays in is very toughWell that EMF/Hartington score was interesting.

Sandy Creek big over SandhillsI believe that point totals are not updated following the first round of the playoffs. With that in mind, these should be the second round matchups with all teams "re-seeded' into one bracket

From what I saw on Hudl they just couldn’t stop Twin Loup from scoring.H-D vs B-R should be a good game as well as Wynot vs Hitchcock Co.
Any insight on the Loomis lose? Was there injuries or did they just plain get beat?
