So you are saying it's athletic and a sport, just not one we should have at the school level... I believe that's what you mean, but maybe I'm wrong. Originally I thought you meant it wasn't a sport at all but you've cleared that though up some now.

18 schools that have 16 teams now that we've added Sutherland and Hi-Line to the conference. Not sure what would happen if Hi-Line and/or Maywood-Hayes Center ever decided to deconsolidate their sports.

We have a West and East bracket, where the west teams only play east teams in the championship and 3rd-place consolation games.

All other tournament games stay separated by division. The tournament takes place over a 9-day period.

I enjoy the way they rotate schools that host games each day to spread the wealth, especially with how a team like Maywood-Hayes Center fairly chooses which school will host their games and splits them equally.

Playing the 3rd-place and championship games in McCook seems to work out well for most involved, although it is a good jaunt for several of the far north and far east teams.
