The NSAA Board of Directors met on February 16, 2022 at the NSAA office in Lincoln with the following members present:
The meeting was called to order at 9:20 a.m.
1. Motion was made to approve the Consent Agenda. Items on the Consent Agenda included:
Motion Carried: 8-0
2. The Board discussed the January NSAA District Meetings and legislative proposals.
3. It was moved to approve the Journalism, Baseball, Soccer, Track & Field and Unified Sports-Track & Field manuals. Motion Carried: 8-0
4. Moved to allow Creighton Prep High School to opt-up one classification in journalism. Motion Carried: 8-0
5. Moved to allow Omaha Marian High School to opt-up one classification in journalism. Motion Carried: 8-0
6. Moved to allow Alma, Bellevue West, Bridgeport, Columbus, Creighton Prep, Fremont, North Platte, North Platte St. Patrick's, Papillion-LaVista South, Riverside, Summerland and Superior High Schools to begin football practice on Monday of NSAA Week 5 and to allow their first contest to be played no earlier than Thursday of NSAA Week 7. Motion Carried: 8-0
7. The Board discussed the summer retreat.
8. The Board discussed the NFHS Summer Meeting in San Antonio.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:54 a.m.
The next meeting of the NSAA Board of Directors will be held on March 9, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. at the NSAA Office.
