Threads on here, newspapers, & other outlets. The claim was that the shot clock would speed up games & increase scoring from what I remember.

If a scoring explosion is expected it is unlikely to occur, especially at the Class A boys level and the Metro Conference where probably the most talented players and teams in the state reside thus the clock is least likely to effect an offensive possession.

There was an article in the OWH yesterday about the shot clock in the Metro Tournament. There actually was very few shot clock violations (boys or girls). Most coaches felt like their teams adapted to it well and they made the comment that the end-of-game situations are now more like the flow of the rest of the game....and no hold the ball in the final 2 minutes type of deal.
