I don't think it had anything to do with E-H. The speculation that's going around is that it might be more like some of the Wakefield board members are being selfish? As in not wanting to change mascot, name and colors and worried about their kid's playing time. If Allen continues with them (it's still just the girls that are doing HS in vb and bball at this point, boys are JH coop only) then there would probably be no change of colors, name or mascot. If that is why they voted no, then shame on them. If Allen decides to no longer co-op with Wakefield and they go with someone else, then of course Wakefield and Allen cooping boys will no longer be a choice and Wakefield will more than likely have to worry about football numbers. This no vote by the Wakefield board has blindsided everyone, including their own community. The Wakefield board members nor their administration are answering any questions (refusing is a good word) that people are asking, and apparently there are a lot of people that are asking too. I've heard they didn't even give E-H or Allen board or administration a reason why all of a sudden the no vote. Not that they have to, but it probably would be nice.
If you all think you will see harsh feelings between the citizens of the 3 communities Thurs night, I don't know if it will happen. I think everyone understands it was the Wakefield school boards decision and not any of the community members or students of the 3 school districts.
