I’ve watched a few of their games this year but can’t seem to figure out what kind of team they have this year. They typically have a strong lines on both sides of the ball, solid running back, and will sling it around a bit based on their QBs skill level. I’m unaware of any major playmakers they have this year. Anyone watch them enough to know more about them this year? I’ve been really impressed with the product they’ve put on the field the last 5+ years.

The UNK Invite is arguably the largest meet of the year and in essence serves as a preview of the state meet which will occur in the next few weeks. Results below

Sandhills vs. South Loup. I think winner has to be considered for the #1 spot in D2. This is toughest game to pick but I go with South Loup

Thoughts on who wins.

At the Osmond School Board meeting last night, the board voted 0-5 in favor of moving forward with a cooperative agreement with Randolph. From the sounds of it, Osmond is willing to co-op, just isn't going to be with Randolph. Will be interesting to see where this goes now that the Randolph route seems to be coming to an end.

At the NSAA meeting this morning, the NSAA Board of Directors approved a proposal (7-1 vote) to allow Classes C1, C2, D1 and D2 to use a shot clock on a game-by-game trial (or tournament-by-tournament trial) if all schools agree and NSAA staff approves.

Twin River Softball Coach Renae Van Driel won her 400th game over the weekend at the Columbus Lakeview Invite.

She began her career at Twin River in the fall of 2005 as a Student Teacher, and has never left.

That is 400 wins in 18 years and some change.

Quite an accomplishment. I don't know where that would put her on the list as far as wins for Active Coaches. Does anyone have any ideas on this?
